Political
+ I eat, breathe, live and follow electoral politics every day. I have to know what’s going on in the world around me, not just in Ellis County, but in counties, states, cities and countries. I’m a self-educated current events student. I surprise some people when I can name their own state’s senators or congressional representatives.
+ I will be one of the first to arrive at elections headquarters, and will literally be the last person to leave on Election Night.
+ I try to read The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Investor’s Business Daily and the Financial Times each week.
+ I consider The Economist the best magazine ever.
+ I read the Dallas Morning News every day, every section. I started doing this when I was 13 when I picked up the SportsDay from my grandfather. The sports section is now the very last thing I read.
+ I try to read my competitor/rival papers every day.
+ A few friends and I launched Republic Political Marketing because we can do all of the high-priced political consultants’ jobs a lot easier and a lot cheaper.
Social
+ I love traveling to small towns, big towns, medium-sized towns.
+ Dog-Dog and I like spending time at Lake Waxahachie
+ I’m a huge supporter of Dallas/Fort Worth bands and music. All-time favorites: the Toadies; Slow Roosevelt; The Vanished; Greatness in Tragedy; TEK 3; Lee Harvy; Formal Method; Sugarbomb; Flickerstick; Bowling for Soup; The Beautiful Disaster; Deep Blue Something; Blue October; Fair to Midland…this list could go on and on.
+ I’m content with watching movies (mainly comedies) at home or at a friend’s place, or watching Mad TV and Saturday Night Live re-runs.
+ I’d give anything if I owned a miniature golf course and a pool hall.
Spiritual
+ Jesus Christ is a Gentile in the West. He is a Jew in the Bible. There’s a stark difference between the Western version of our Messiah and that of the Biblical one. I worship the Jewish Messiah. I’m not Jewish, but then again, that doesn’t matter. I’m Messianic if someone needs a proper term.
+ I celebrate Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Shavuot (Pentecost) in the spring and Trumpets, the Day of Atonement and Sukkot in the fall.
+ I keep a Biblically kosher diet.
+ I attend Olive Tree in Waxahachie, a Messianic congregation.
Business
+ I own Dauben, Inc., a/k/a Texas International Property Associates, one of the largest Internet real estate companies in the world. I manage a portfolio of over 500,000 domain names.

+ I’m constantly drawing out plans for real estate developments, stadiums, parks, etc.
+ I semi-joke that I’d like to start my own city. Notice I said “semi-joke.”
