Rodney Pat Ramsey’s Story

I’m really tired of the constant rumor-mongering still lingering after several years – and most recently, the March GOP primary – involving Rodney Pat Ramsey.

To give everyone the final “say” – I have posted Ramsey’s entire Ellis County Press series that JoAnn Livingston and the Waxahachie Daily Light failed to report fully on. Honestly, I had no idea some of this information was available, but now, for once, we know Rodney’s story. The articles were published in December of 2000 up until mid-February 2001.

Rodney is now working for the Kaufman County public defender’s office and is the municipal judge for Bardwell, near Ennis. This series gave rise to Rodney’s meteoric and heroic rise to fight against County Attorney Joe Grubbs and the dangerous political corruption Ellis County is a tourist attraction for.

Rodney Pat Ramsey, to me, truly is a hero. I look up to him greatly, agree or disagree. This county has done a great job turning victims into lawyers. Ultimately, we will win. But until then, I will make life very uncomfortable for those who protect the corrupt.

Special Bonus

During my digging for these archives, I came across a load of ECP coverage of the controversial property tax rollback election that split our county. See for yourself the players and current elected officials – or former – who were working against the taxpayers:

The purveyors of “news” perversion – JoAnn being the main culprit, followed by Don Wilson and perhaps even Larry Burns – who have rumored and slandered Ramsey will no longer be able to do so, thanks to technology and the New Media.

The rumors started by Wilson and paraded by assistant dick-prosecutor Patrick M. Wilson (his son) were the very essence of what people accuse this blog of allegedly doing.

The real truth has not been, nor ever will be, published in the WDL by anyone, anywhere. JoAnn has staked a tarnished career as the journalistic equivalent to a Red Light District trick. Get paid, report only what you’re told.

And then, the “justice” system in this county that Rodney had to fight damn-near by himself is ripe with people who ought to be thrown in jail, starting with the top attorney of them all, then down the list of those employed and taking pay from county taxpayers.
