I used to put out blog threads on old sites I ran informing people of screen names that “IM” (short for instant message, non-Web-savvy friends) friends of mine with variations of my name.
I’ve had to change, alter and re-create screen names a few times because some yay-hoo would IM friends – or worse, family – and say all sorts of things I would never say.
So, as a refresher, please make note of the legitimate screen names that belong to me. I do need to make one major clarification here that the AOL IM screen name was hacked a few times and phrases that will not be repeated here were sent to friends on my Buddy List. Kinda scary, but I routinely change passwords now.
Anyway, here are my “screen names.”
AOL: joey75154
Yahoo: joeydauben8
MSN: joeydauben@hotmail.com
Google: daubeninc@gmail.com
I’ve had more problems with hackers on the AOL/Yahoo names than any of them. If anyone has a question as to “who” is messaging you, just text me to find out.
Oh, and there are various degrees of screen names with the above wording/numbers/etc. There’s even a joeydauben@gmail.com that is absolutely not me.
I guess I should take this as a compliment in a weird sorta way.
